As the holiday season approaches many of us have begun filling our shopping carts and making wishlists with gifts for our babies and toddlers. Some of my favorites to include are BOOKS! Why? They’re timeless – Your littles can enjoy them for years to come! I’ve created a list of my favorite books for babies and toddlers, complete with shoppable links.

BABY BOOKS

1. Hello, Baby! – A crinkly book, rattle, teether, all in one!
2. Fold Out On the Farm – The perfect tummy time book.
3. Touchy-Feely Animals Book – A multi-sensory experience for your little one with touchy-feely patches and high contrast images!
4. Indestructibles: Row, Row, Row Your Boat – For the baby who likes to mouth, rip, and pull all books! You can even put these books in the washing machine! You can sing the song or talk about what you see on each page.
5. Don’t Tickle the Lion! – Touch and feel the lions patch and you might hear him roar!
6. Farm Sounds – Make the farm come to life by pressing the pages.
7. Clap Hands – This book is wonderful for helping your little one imitate your actions.
8. Slide & See Under the Sea – An interactive book with sliders, you’ll be sure to see lots of surprises along the way!
9. Poke-A-Dot Ocean – Interactive board book with buttons to press and “pop” on every page!
10. Do Cows Meow? – Lift the flap and makes silly sounds with farm friends.
11. Hi-Five Animals! – A great way to practice developing early gestures – hi-five a new character on each page!
12. Where’s the Dog? – Friendly pets hiding behind bright felt flaps!
13. Goodnight Owl – A short story with felt flaps!
14. Squawk, Toucan! This series is so cute with a special interactive surprise at the end, your littles will have fun pulling the tab and making the animal sounds “SNAP!” and come to life!
15. Goodnight Gorilla – A classic!
16. Brown Bear, Brown Bear Slide & Find – Another classic, but with sliding doors! Are you sensing a theme here?
17. How to Feed Your Cheeky Monkey! – Help monkey eat some breakfast! Great for highlighting daily routines, exclamatory words, simple rhymes! Check out the rest of the “How to” series.
    

TODDLER BOOKS

1. I Can Do It – An interactive book with different fastenings to practice on each page.
2. All Better – With reusable band-aid stickers your little one can help each animal feel better. Another fan favorite in the series is Time to Brush!
3. This is Owl – Have a busy toddler? This book is sure to engage their attention with fun flaps and silly directions to follow!
4. From Head to Toe – Another great book for imitating actions!
5. What are Stars? This series is filled with beautiful illustrations and so many fun facts! I have even learned so much from them. They include flaps making the book very interactive. You won’t be disappointed!
6. Red, Red, Red –  The perfect picture book for helping your little one understand their big feelings and learning positive coping strategies.
7. The Rabbit Listened – The sweetest book about empathy and kindness.
8. 50 Science Things to Make & Do – We’re all at home right now and could use a few more activity ideas of things to make & do keep our littles learning and engaged, right?!
9. Slide & Find – What’s in My House? – Another interactive book with sliders, flaps, and colorful illustrations.
10. Busy Train Book – Pull back the train and watch it zoom across the tracks on each new page. This series is SO fun!
11. Cook in a Book: Pancakes or Cookies – Interactive recipe book(s)!
12. The Box Turtle – An adorable story about a turtle building his confidence and loving what makes him different.
13. Who Will You Be? – A picture book about how family and community. help shape the wonderful people our children become. The perfect gift for your child or a friend!
14. The Forest Feast for Kids – A book with kid friendly recipes and gorgeous illustrations. A wonderful way to include your little ones in the kitchen with you!
